Planning and preparation - your key to success

Success typically comes to those who are best prepared. This holds true in all areas of life.

So how do we prepare?
Preparation requires goal setting, evaluation (you must first know where you are before you can figure out how to get where you want to go), and planning. Once the planning is done, it is time to do the doing.

When engaging in the preparation process, remember that even the best laid plans, when executed, will have some setbacks and temporary defeats. That is simply a sign that some adjustments need to be made to the plans. Just stick to your goals, and re-work your plans… but never give up!
With anything in life we need to see the benefits of our hard work, so by planning how are can increase your activity level you can then see the specific benefits you will gain by taking these steps.
I.E. If I do 30 minutes of exercise each day I am going to significantly reduce my risk of heart disease. (huge benefit)

Never lose sight of the goal, and never forget where you were when you started. Also never forget those who helped you along your journey to a healthier version of you.

So how do you start planning for your exercise success?
Come up with a goal that you would like to achieve this year
Get really clear on the specific benefits of your goal. Work out what your challenges are going to be and the solutions you can come up with to overcome these challenges
Most importantly take action!
