Discovering your why - day 2 #10DBC

This is day 2 of Natalie Sisson's 10-day blog challenge and today we are discovering our why. I have a really big reason behind my why and so I am excited to share this with you.

The why for having my own freedom based business is so that I can fill my life with amazing experiences. This is why I run my own health and fitness business, and bed and breakfast. Not only do I meet and help incredible people but my business allows me to take the winter off to re-charge and to travel the world to have amazing experiences and outdoor adventures. This keeps my passion bucket fill to overflowing so that I can give back to others.

Having amazing experiences is part of my core belief system and also serves my other 2 main goals of growth and contribution. By having experiences, I am able to grow and contribute. Experiences make me who I am today and when I reach old age it will be the experiences that I look back on as shaping my life and everything else will seem insignificant.

As I continue to work on my why, I am constantly stretching and improving. I live close to the edge of my comfort zone which allows me to keep growing and achieving my dreams.
My contribution is broken down to the work I do for my clients, helping them to change their lives and the on-going commitment I have to the New Zealand Heart Foundation. Having a pacemaker fitted at the age of 44 is the real why that I want to live a fit and healthy life. It would have been easy to let this setback slow me down, but do you think I let it? No way! I turned this challenge into mo01bb916dec444b7768e58191be3489168a8a4d91cb-300x199tivation to live life to the full. I have a compassionate understanding of the importance of keeping healthy while living with health conditions and I'm passionate about educating others through sharing my story.

By living the life of my dreams and following my why I help other women to live the life of their dreams too.

I couldn't think of a better why!

This image is my husband and I running the Medtronic Marathon in 2013... I was selected as one of 25 people from around the world to take part in this marathon. The Medtronic Global Heroes program celebrates runners who, with the help of medical technology, have continued to lead a full, active life. I took part in this marathon to inspire others to take action in their own lives and achieve life-changing results.
